Hunt Oil company of Romania to open offices in Bucharest

Hunt Oil Company of Romania (HOCR), a subsidy of Hunt Oil Company in Dallas, Texas, announced, yesterday, its London office would be moved to Bucharest, according to a release remitted to “Nine O’Clock”.

In September 2010, HOCR signed a partnership with OMV-Petrom for two exploration licenses in Romania. “Romania offers a huge potential for new findings, as, indeed, the entire region,” Tom Cwikla, the president of Hunt Oil Company of Romania, stated.

Romania also offers a highly qualified and motivated workforce, compounded by solid experience in the field and the already existing infrastructure for the oil and gas industry, in the latter’s view. “We are confident that the application of the latest technologies in our exploration licenses will lead to the finding of fresh oil and gas deposits in the years to come.”

Mark Sturgess, recently appointed the director general of the Hunt Oil regional offices in Bucharest, stated: “Romania is a strategic centre in our regional development, thanks to its excellent position and to its long-standing cooperation with South-Eastern Europe and the Middle East.” (M.A.)
