‘First Home’ programme continues with total guarantees capped at EUR 200 M

The ‘First Home’ programme continues this year with a guarantee cap of EUR 200 M to be supplemented when exhausted, with the decision to be made by the Government this week, PM Emil Boc announced on the public radio station on Friday.

Within the second phase of the ‘First Home’ programme, started at the beginning of 2010, the state guaranteed home purchasing loans within EUR 60,000 for old or existing homes and EUR 70,000 for planned properties and the associations of buyers benefited from an individual guarantee of EUR 75,000 for new houses.

‘This programme has helped over 33,000 young people buy or build a home so far,’ the PM said.
